How Hilde used the chipboard:

"The butterflies are simply inked with silver Brilliance ink. Then I added 2 drops of pink liquid pearls.

The phrase Love You was sprayed with Glimmermist first and when it dried I covered it with glossy accents (this way it also curls up a bit, which gives a nice effect). I added 3d foam to let it "fly" a little too.

The vines are painted with white cracklepaint and then when it's dry you can spray the Glimmermist on it. After that I added drops of liquid pearls for an extra touch.

How Hilde used the chipboard:

"The Leaves and Circles are covered with dark green brilliance ink and then I added glossy accents. (then you get the curled up effect) The hot air balloon is covered with the same ink but then I added some silver ink on the edges.The Heart Top Picket fence is painted with brown crackle paint. When it dried up I added glossy accents.

We are adding to our Design Team

and we would love for YOU to apply!!!!

We are looking for Australian and International, talented Scrapbookers that can work magic with Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

We are looking for artists who create Scrapbook Pages, Cards, Mixed Media Projects, Off the Page Projects plus LOVE what they do!

Any styles are welcomed .... simple, arty, shabby chic, mainstream ..... we welcome it all!

The term will be running from January 2012 – December 2012

- a personal style that shows the versatility of Imaginarium Designs chipboard

my first challenge at My Creative Scrapbook

This will be my first time to organize a challenge for you!! Yay!!!

I have such a fun challenge I hope you will all join! This is a cheap and real easy way to add the perfect detail to your layout.
I Want you to sew on your layout!! ( by hand or machine )
It doesn't have to be lots. But you need to see it ( so your sewing isn't hidden underneath some flowers or so )

Here are a few examples I did over the last year. I always sew by hand.

Here I created a frame:

Here I added a bottom line and top line, just as a detail.

And here I created bows for the flags with thread:

As you know, Pam is very generous with prizes and I'm sure the winner of this challenge will be pleased with her goodies.

Graphic 45 Challenge! Come Join!!

"Graphic 45 is pleased to announce our Halloween Rejuvenaiton Challenge! Fall and Halloween are definitely on the way and we thought it would be fun to have an altered art challenge that's inspired by this colorful season. We're asking you to take an old object and bring it back to life with Graphic 45! We've all got stuff around the house that could use a little dressing up. Maybe it's something you found at a garage sale, thrift store, or even an old item that's been sitting in the basement since forever. We want you to create a beautiful Halloween or Fall-themed altered art project from any old, random objects you might have using Graphic 45 products. It's the perfect craft challenge to jump-start your holiday crafting!

The submission deadline is September 25th. Email submissions to charee@g45papers.com. On September 26th all of the submissions will be uploaded to our Facebook photos and you will get to vote for your favorite submission by "Like"-ing it! Voting is from September 26th to 7am on Septmeber 30th. The TWO projects with the most likes win! Winners will be announced on Friday morning at 8am on our Facebook and on our blog.

My Creative Scrapbook Guest Design Team Call!!!

The call is open from Sept. 17, 2011 through Oct.28, 2011.
We will announce the new Guest Design Team on our blog and in our forum on Nov 5, 2011.
We are looking to fill spots for Guest Design Team positions but hint, hint, we have chosen our permanent DT members from our past Guest DT members.
Within these positions we are looking for skills in creating layouts, mini albums, cards, altered items and sketches.
Once we have made our choices then we will announce it on our blog and contact you.
We want you…”if”…you are a creative, energetic, and ambitious and want to have fun creating with us.

Our Expectations of Guest Designers:
- Open communication skill.
- Consistent style and range and ability to design and showcase our kit supplies.
- Teamwork, cooperation and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to create layouts, cards and altered projects on a more experienced skill level.
- Ability to teach techniques with written instructions and/or step by step photos or video.
- Photography skills to produce clear and accurate photos of your projects.

Guest Design Team Requirements:
- Active participation in our forum including the message board and galleries. (This is a must for all.)
- 3 Layouts and 1 card/altered item per kit per month.
- Step by step picture or video tutorial to share with our members in our forum on a rotating basis using a kit.
- Head up challenges for our members in our forum on a rotating basis.

Miss Nelly card

Just realized I haven't shown this card yet.

Materials Used:Miss Nelly Collection papers P709- her laugh/ P710 – her style / P713 her habits, Miss Nelly Chipboard Printed Chipboard CB132, Miss Nelly 6,5 ” Paperpad PP849,Miss Nelly Jewels RS422, Miss Nelly Rub ons RB934, Paper Blooms Fuchsia F639, Lace Pack cream EM927Other items: , Big Shot Machine, Tim Holtz Alternations Rosettes, Tim Holtz Ink

“I cut a piece of paper from the P710 sheet measures 18,5cm. The blue side is the base of the card. The piece of paper that you have left ( the red colored on front ) is going to be folded around the blue base. I inked all the edges. Then I added the strip of sheet P709 on top and bottom of the red paper. I also added some scalloped strips from the paper pad. PlaceD some lace around the sentiment.With a die cut machine I created the rosette flower and added the paper blooms and chipboard flower. Then finished with some pearls and crystals!

Bird is the word challenge

As soon as I received this papers I knew I was going to adore them!

In fact when I scrap with My Minds Eye papers I never am out of inspiration. My layouts just create itself...

This will be my first time entering the 'Bird is the word Challenge'. I needed to create something with the word 'Memory' ( or memories for example ).

I also used a lot of Marianne Designs Creatables. I used cork to create the diecuts. Doesn't this look amazing?

I loved this layout as soon as I finished it. It brings back great memories from our holiday last year.

It's saturday!!

A day with ups and downs. The weather was really bad....so we stayed inside most of the day. Amy had to go to the dentist and came back with a molar less....yes they needed to get the tooth out. She was in much pain today...so lots of crying. ( which is exhausting if you only had 5 hours sleep....sigh ).

But I hugged her and gave her lots of kisses so during the day she was doing much better.

As a surprise my mother and mother in law came along with 2 sisters in law...so that was really fun.

I am exhausted now...but Thomas decided to stay awake....hopefully he will fall asleep soon.

Yes, Thomas has his first 2 teeth! The first came through yesterday and today I could feel the second one...so cute!!

Then I have a page to show you. Before I went on holiday I had created lots of work which I couldn't show you yet. So thats why I can blog everyday showing new stuff..lol.

And of course in the meantime I'm scrapping as well, so I guess I have blog material for at least a month! Yay!!

So here's a page I had published with a Dutch Magazine. I needed to work with K&Company papers.

I cut out lots of images and added them as an embellishment.

Also drops of Glimmermist every here and there.

Designer a Day at Marianne Design

Before I went on holiday I had contact with Marianne from Marianne Design.

She gave me the opportunity to be a designer for a day. Which means she sponsored me with 2 gorgeous dies and I need to create something with those dies.

I completed my first layout with her dies.

I used the flowers, swirls and cute sled die.

They are simply gorgeous!!

I can't wait to get started with a new layout using a die I received with the image of a deer!! So cute!

I'm back!!!

Yes, I'm back and I really missed blogging!!

So I think you will see lots of blogposts from me the next few days.

We had a wonderful holiday. The weather wasn't really great, and we had a real wasp invasion, but we still enjoyed our family time.

I read lots of books and just relaxed as much as I could.

Back home I had 4 boxes full of new KaiserCraft goodies waiting for me!!! Wow, lots of wonderful stuff to play with.

There was also an issue of the French magazine 'Histoires de Pages' at my home...with some work I made in it.

As soon as I can find the time to scan the pages I will.

Here are the layouts I needed to create for the magazine;

I need to work a lot on assignments now....but after 4 weeks of non-scrapping I can't wait to get started!!

Final Post before I will leave on holiday

Okay, so we will be leaving on holiday tomorrow for 4 weeks!! So there will be no blogging on this blog for a while.

We are going to Germany and I really hope the weather will be a bit better then it's today over here. It is raining, raining and raining.....

But I will bring lots of books with me, so I guess I won't be bored. ;-))

I will leave you with a layout I've created for a Dutch Magazine. It's been published as well.

I used Graphic 45 'Le Cirque' collection.

I love the colors and great images of this collection.

And I needed to show you this picture of Thomas. My brother took some amazing photos of him and I can't stop looking at them...they are sooooooo great for a layout!!

Isn't he the cutest?!

Well, going to print this picture and bring it with me on holiday so I can scrap it!!

You will see me back mid August!! With lots to show!

Clear Scraps is having these new clearly accent embellishments which are simply stunning.

They also have these flowers which were amazing to use on this layout.

Do you see the curled flowers? Here's how I did that;

With white paint I sponged the flat flower first.

Then I added some colors alcohol ink to create the vintage colors.

And the final part is that you use a heattool to heaten the acrylic. When it gets soft because of the heat you can curl the leaves!

And finally I added some liquid pearls.

Don't you just love these?! You really should buy them to create your own amazing flower embellishments!

Gesso and Clear Scraps

I love the Clear Scraps Top Load Albums since a scrapper can never have to many albums. But the fun with this one is that you can decorate it yourself!

So with this album I went crazy.

I added lot's of gesso on the top and when still wet I added some bling bling in it.

Then you have to let it dry for lots of hours.

I also added white paint and alcohol ink...

In real life it's so much prettier than on the pics though.

And you did spot the new Clearly Accent Embellishments right?

I so love this!!

Well, I hope you now totally want to buy such an album yourself to decorate!

Blae & Ivy projects

I have 2 more Blae & Ivy projects to show today.

I created a card ( with the amazing rub ons!!) and a photo display.

I also used their stamps. The combination with their rub ons and stamps give a great effect. As you can see on the bottom left. I used the stamp on top of the rub ons!

This frame will be a present for my mother in law. All of her grandchildren are in the frame.

I used crackle paint on the frame and then sprayed some Glimmermist on it.

I also used Glimmermist on the wooden flourishes.

I guess my mother in law will love this frame!

New Clear Scraps!!

As promised I will show you some new Clear Scraps today!

I was really amazed when I received my DT box....acrylic shapes! How stunning!!

On my first layout I used the pennants embellishments and the Frames embellishment.

I decorated them with ink and even embossed the pennants!!

Then I will show you a stocking which I created for the CHA booth.

I used alcohol ink, stamps, paint....yes, a real messy job. But I loved it!!

And do you spot the butterfly?

It's new as well!!

I used the heattool to let the wings lift a bit.

This minibook is my final Nikki Sivils project for now.

A combination of three

I combined three of the manufacturers I design for with this layout.

Graphic 45, Clear Scraps and Epiphany Crafts.

I had this photo for over a year lying on my desk. I simply love this photo of my husband Andries. It's so funny!

We always say he looks like a Roman/Greeke warrior...

Because of his firm chin, blonde curls..

So when we saw this pilar he needed to climb it.

Just imagine the white fabric drapes around his body and it's the total package...lol.

The acrylic expression is by Clear Scraps. I added ink on it to create the colors. Also some liquid applique to create some dots.

The papers are by Graphic 45, collection A Proper Gentleman. Great colors for masculine layouts!!

And do you see those great epoxy's?? They are self created by me with the amazing tools of Epiphany Crafts!!

You can create your own perfect matched embellishments.....yes....heaven. I know!

I'm really busy scrapping at this moment. I need to finish my third article for the Dutch magazine I design for. In between I'm creating for CHA with new Clear Scraps goodies.

Working on my final Graphic 45 project for this month. And planning a few days just creating Nikki Sivils items.....phew.....I'm a busy girl....with a huge secret ;-)) ( which I will spoil very soon...._

Today is my final day of being 31.....yes, tomorrow I will turn 32.

I have the luck the weather is sunny and dry. So I guess it will be a bright day celebrating my birthday!

Can't wait what next year will bring me. ;-)

I have a layout to show which I created for Graphic 45.

I enjoyed using these papers from Le Cirque.

I created a banner and some rossette flowers. Love those!!!
